The City of Worcester will host a media event for the official opening of the city’s pool, beaches and spray parks on Monday, July 1 at 11:30 a.m. at Crompton Park Pool.
The event will not only mark the official opening of the City’s public waterways but will also provide information on summer aquatics programs, including free swimming lessons, while emphasizing the importance of water safety and how to identity dangerous hazards and circumstances.
Speakers will be City Councilor-at-Large Gary Rosen, City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr., Parks Commissioner Robert Antonelli, Worcester Fire Chief Michael Lavoie and HHS Commissioner Dr. Matilde Castiel.

ALL sites are open to the public 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
New this year: FREE swim lessons will be offered at Crompton Park Pool – 7 weeks for ages 6-16 – July 8-August 23 – sessions at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. each week day, M-F.
