Burncoat Street Sewer Repair to Begin Wednesday, Traffic Detoured

WORCESTER, Mass. – On Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, a contractor hired by the Department of Public Works & Parks will begin repair efforts on the sewer service for 168 Burncoat St. The work is expected to take one week to complete weather permitting.
The traffic management plan for this effort includes:
- Delaying the daily start of work until 8:15 a.m. to prevent interference with school drop off.
- Detouring southbound traffic from 8:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Allowing two-way traffic by the construction site from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. to facilitate student dismissal. Work requiring one-way traffic will resume following school dismissal.
