Worcester, MA (May 7, 2015) - A Bike to Work Commuter's Breakfast will be held on Friday, May 15th from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM on the Worcester Common behind City Hall, 455 Main Street.
The event will feature a healthy breakfast, giveaways and vendors in order to celebrate the dedication of community members who bicycle to work.
The Commuter's Breakfast is a festivity planned in recognition of Bay State Bike Week, an annual statewide event to promote and celebrate bicycling as a mode of transportation.
Bicycling is an increasingly popular mode of transportation as it is economical, healthy, environmentally friendly and fun. Activities across Massachusetts have been planned to encourage bicycle use and raise awareness about the possibilities of commuting via bicycle.
The Bike to Work Commuter's Breakfast is sponsored by Walk Bike Worcester, the City of Worcester and the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission.
Bay State Bike Week is a partnership among MassDOT, the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition (MassBike) and MassRIDES in collaboration with local advocacy leaders, bike shop owners and bicycle users and enthusiasts.
