The City of Worcester will host a photo opportunity for the launch of a new beach wheelchair access system at John J. Binienda Memorial Beach on Sunday, July 1 at 12 p.m., 180 Mill Street.
The system provides individuals in a wheelchair with improved access to both the beach and the water through specially designed beach mats and wheelchairs that are equipped to enter the water. Beginning July 1, this system will be in place at Binienda Memorial Beach and Shore Park Beach when those facilities are open for public use from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
