Nicholas Argento request installation of a "Veteran Square" memorial for U.S. Army Private John D. Kelleher at the intersection of Hartshorn St. and June St. or at the intersection of Hartshorn St. and Manor St. # 10w CC March 12, 2024

1. Nicholas Argento, Westborough resident, spoke in favor of the item
2. Kathleen M. Kelleher, Worcester resident, spoke in favor of the item
3. Sister Paula Kelleher, Springfield resident, spoke in favor of the item

Chairperson Councilor Pacillo recognized Councilor Toomey, who spoke concerning the item with Speaker #1.

Chairperson Councilor Pacillo recognized the Veterans’ Services Director, who discussed the process relative to approving the item and any next steps required of the petitioner.

Chairperson Councilor Pacillo recognized Councilor Toomey, who discussed the work completed by WPD Officer Sean Lovely to catalog all the Veterans’ Squares in the city, as well as ensuring this new square be added to the compendium compiled by the WPD Officer.

Chairperson Councilor Pacillo spoke concerning the item and moved for a roll call vote to recommend the item be approved.

Recommend Approval on a roll call vote of 2 Yeas and 0 Nays (Councilor Haxhiaj absent)
