Chairman’s Orders:

 

Request the City Manager request the Commissioner of Public Works report on the causes of sewer backup in other areas of the city such as Kinnicutt Rd. and Moreland St.

 

Request the City Manager to obtain the opinions of an independent engineering firm to review, specifically, any issues that might have arisen at the Dunkirk Pump Station.

 

Request the City Manager to report to the City Council concerning the total monies FEMA and MEMA have given to the affected areas of the October, 2005 flooding.

 

Request the City Manager to consider any type of private donations to complement other relief efforts. Further, request the City Manager to provide a report concerning any private donations made and where those monies have been spent, including a donation of $20,000.00 from Health Source.

 

Request the City Manager to report to the City Council whether or not the same standards for issuance of a claim for damages resulting from overflow at the Dunkirk Avenue Pump Station would be any different if the City of Worcester insured itself through the purchase of a specific policy.
