CHAIRMAN'S ORDERS

1.

Request City Manager report to the City Council within 30 days with a resolution to the public safety concerns for both pedestrians, motorists and WRTA bus routes in Plantation Street in the vicinity of Notre Dame du Lac.

2.

Request City Manager request the Police Chief to report to the City Council the solutions he may implement immediately, including speeding surveillance, to improve public safety in Plantation Street in the vicinity of Notre Dame du Lac.

3.

Request City Manager request the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks to review the varying posted speed limits in the entire length of Plantation Street and address the issue of public safety by recommending more appropriate limits.

4.

Request City Manager request the appropriate members of his Administration meet with the new Administrator of the Worcester Regional Transit Authority concerning CitySquare and Washington Square.

5.

Request Request City Manager request the Administrator of the Worcester Regional Transit Authority to provide the City Council with long range and strategic plans subsequent to a thorough in-house review.
