Chairman’s Orders:

1.     Request the City Manager provide the City Council with recommendations for long-term enhancements to the Emergency Operations Center being developed behind 141 Grove Street.

2.     Request the City Manager provide the City Council with an updated set of building plans for the planned Emergency Operations Center.

3.     Request the City Manager provide the City Council with information concerning the offers that are made to outside agencies to use the planned Emergency Operations Center and the existing Training Tower located behind the Fire Department Headquarters.

4.     Request the City Manager to outline for the City Council the pros and cons of light duty assignments within the planned program to case manage those public safety employees injured-on-duty.

5.     Request the City Manager provide the City Council with a report quantifying the results of the IOD case management program six months after it’s inception.

6.     Request the City Manager request the Police Chief to provide the City Council with information relative to any public safety programs that are in place between the Worcester Police Department and students in grades K through Grade 3.

7.     Request the City Manager to request the Police Chief to consider partnering with local Probation Department staff to re-institute the home visit aspect and other efforts that might result in a reduction in violence.
