Chairperson Councilor King moved for a roll call vote to recess to executive session for the purpose of discussing the contract and salary associated with the hiring of Eric D. Batista as Acting City Manager and to reconvene back to open session after executive session.
Recessed to Executive Session on a roll call vote of 3 Yeas and 0 Nays.
Chairperson Councilor King reconvened the meeting in Open Session at 10:45 A.M.
Chairperson Councilor King read the Standing Committee’s full recommendation relative to appointing Eric D. Batista as Acting City Manager, effective June 1, 2022 at 12:01 a.m.
Chairperson Councilor King thanked the members of the Standing Committee, the Assistant City Manager, City Solicitor, City Clerk and Mayor for their work relative to the appointment process of Eric D. Batista as Acting City Manager.
Recommend Approval of an Order that City Council does hereby appoint Eric D. Batista as Acting City Manager effective June 1, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. and that authorizes Mayor Joseph M. Petty on behalf of the City Council to execute the finalized employment contract with Mr. Batista, as well as a Salary Ordinance amendment implementing one provision associated with said appointment on a roll call vote of 3 Yeas and 0 Nays | |
