Recommend Adoption of a Certified Project and TIF Agreement for David Clark Company. # 10.4A CM May 7, 2024

Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson read the item and recognized Chief Development Officer, who provided an overview of the item, including David Clark Company Incorporated’s decision to not move forward with the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Agreement at this time.

Chairperson Mero-Carlson moved for a roll call vote to recommend the item be placed on file.

Recommend adoption of a resolution authorizing an amendment to the Tax Increment Financing Agreement for 18-20 Franklin Street. # 9.4A CM April 2, 2024

Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson read the item and recognized the Chief Development Officer, who provided an overview of the proposed amendment to the city’s Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Agreement for 18-20 Franklin St.

Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized the following speakers:
1. Roberta Brien, no residence given, spoke in favor of the item
2. Troy Siebels, no residence given, spoke in favor of the item

Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized Councilor Bergman, who spoke concerning the tenant’s lease agreement at the location, the rental rates paid by the tenants at the property and inflation associated with the utilities at the location with the Chief Development Officer and Speaker #1.

Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized Councilor Pacillo, who discussed WBDC’s involvement in supporting arts in the community.

Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson discussed the ten (10) year lease agreement with Quinsigamond Community College at the location with Speaker #1.

Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson moved for a roll call vote to recommend the item be approved.
