# 9a CC February 4, 2020 | Attachments | | | | | | | Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson read the item and recognized the Chief Development Officer, who provided an overview of the item, which would eliminate rear yard setback requirements for most parcels in the BG-6.0 zoning district, treating the rear yard in a manner similar to side yards.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized both Councilor Wally and Councilor Rose, who both agreed with the proposal brought forth by the Chief Development Officer.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson moved for a roll call vote to recommend the item be approved.

Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized the Chief Development Officer, who provided an overview concerning item #3a, outlining the various economic development efforts in the city.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized the Assistant Chief Development Officer, who provided information concerning items #3b through #3d. The Assistant Chief Development Officer elaborated concerning an update on the various active TIFs in the city, financial assistance programs for small businesses and the city’s efforts resulting from the Construction Workforce Disparity Study.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson spoke to the hard work being done by the Economic Development Staff.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized Councilor Wally, Councilor Rose and Councilor King, who all praised the Economic Development Staff for their work, especially with the small business community.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson moved for a roll call vote to file items #3a through #3d.
