Order of Mayor Konstantina B. Lukes - Request all City Council Standing Committees report to City Council for the December 9, 2008 City Council meeting a status report of each committees goals and objectives as established for Fiscal Year 2009.

Chairman's Orders

Request City Manager report to the City Council concerning the impending change in replacement of the I-net with LED fiber and other areas that this technology can be used to make the city a more efficient organization and how we might be approaching the whole issue of taking maximum advantage of this technology.

Request City Manager provide City Council with a vision of the personnel resources that will be required in future years to allow the city to reach its technology goals.

Petition of Virginia Ryan et al request the City of Worcester change it's two-tier system of health insurance plans to four-tier plans.

Chairman's Orders

Request City Manager report to the City Council concerning four-tier health insurance coverage for both active and retired employees, addressing ratios proposed to tiers and addressing the possible inclusion in a multi-tiered or non-multi-tiered health insurance system, single coverage for retired city employees whose spouse worked outside the city-system.

Request City Manager request the Massachusetts Municipal Association for information as to how many cities and towns are participating in a four-tier health insurance system.
