Recommend adoption of the South Worcester Neighborhood Plan and be it further Ordered that the Administration provide the City Council with periodic progress reports against the goals of the plan; the first report in four months, and be it further Ordered that the Administration consider the needs of South Worcester neighborhood as outlined in the plan whenever future neighborhood revitalization funding is considered.

Chairman’s Orders:
Request the Administration provide the City Council with a report concerning the street lighting in the PWED road leading into the South Worcester Industrial Park.
Request the Administration provide the City Council
with a report on the pilot program that led to the installation of surveillance
cameras in the vicinity of 701 Main Street and report whether similar type
technology might be employed at the Harry Sherry playground with Community
Development Block Grant funds.
Request the Administration provide the City Council with a report on the feasibility of the formation of a committee relative to the siting of social service agencies in the City of Worcester.
Request the Administration provide the City Council
with a report revealing whether the former Cambridge Street School property and
property at 444 Cambridge Street are tax-paying or tax exempt entities.
Request the Administration provide the City Council
with a report on the status of the Quinsigamond Gateway project and any
barriers to it’s implementation.
