That the City Manager, through the Commissioner of the Department of Public Health, be and is hereby authorized and requested to establish a Yellow Box program within the City of Worcester encompassing the following component parts: a. that a total of eight (8) sites be designated as the outset of the program, b. that the first two (2) sites be established within healthcare facilities, c. that the additional six (6) boxes be installed in due haste at sites as part of a community-based health initiative including retail sites, d. that a community-wide education program be implemented contemporaneous to the commencement of the program, e. that monthly reports be provided to City Council beginning with the first meting in January 2008, f. that educational postings be affixed to the exterior of all drop-off boxes and g. that the Massachusetts department of Public Health be solicited for future funding.
