The Committee heard from representatives of the health community involved in the Community Immunity Day mass inoculation program scheduled for Saturday, October 13, 2007. 10,000 doses have been committed by MAXIM and shall be available at the two locations in the City; @ the Forest-Grove Middle School and the ALL. Additional doses may be brought to the City from Springfield and Natick if the demand is realized during the day.
The cost to each individual is $26 payable in cash or via health insurance coverage. For those people who cannot afford the cost, the City shall cover in the amount of $11 for each dose.
Collaborative efforts have been made between many partners including the private for-profit vendor, the City of Worcester and UMass Medical Center.
