The Mayor recognized Mr. Quat Tran who requested
that the Vietnamese flag be displayed in front of City Hall during the Chinese
New Year between January 30, 2006 and February 3, 2006.
The Mayor recognized Walter Wyse, 31 Greenfield St.
and residents of the Dunkirk Ave. neighborhood concerning the October 15
flooding. The City Manager updated the City Council concerning efforts to
determine any negligence on the part of the City. (See item 17a)

17. Peter Salek request to change the signs located on four poles on
the corner of Main St. and Ludlow St. and Ludlow St. and Stafford St. to remove
“6:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.” so that no trucks over 5 tons are allowed on Ludlow St

17a. Request City Manager provide the City Council with a report relative to the City’s financial participation regarding repairs and/or infrastructure improvements pertinent to the October 2005 flooding in the Dunkirk Ave. neighborhood. Further, request that the City fund the entire cost of valve installation in affected homes, permitting fees or any other fees associated with the installation of the valves.
