B. Request the City Council to approve the acceptance of a $10,000.00 grant from the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, Inc. This grant will fund a Community Story Teller for a second year to run story times at the United Way of Central Massachusetts Success by Six agencies at an easily accessible public places such as malls and park.

SUPPLEMENTAL - Recommend that the City Manager, with the approval of the City
Auditor, be authorized to make adjustments to city accounts to balance the
Fiscal Year 2001 budget. This authorization will be for minor transfers that
may need to take place after June 19, 2001. This type of authorization has been
approved by Council in the last eight years and will allow for City
Administration to make necessary budgetary adjustments to close the books for
Fiscal 2001.

SUPPLEMENTAL - Recommend that the sum of $926,023 be transferred from and to the
accounts listed in the fiscal 2001 year end appropriation order in various
departmental tax levy accounts to balance all city accounts for fiscal 2001.
Further recommend that the sum of 1,214,199 in FY 01 Certified Free Cash be
transferred into Account #411-92000, Snow Removal Account, to reduce the snow
removal deficit from $2,482,967.75 to $1,268,769. The balance of the snow
removal deficit will be funded with $751,836 in Federal Emergency Management
money that we anticipate receiving at the end of this month, or beginning of
next month, and $ 516,933 will need to be addressed most likely with free cash
once certified. Also recommend that the sum of $110,362.55 be transferred from
and to the accounts listed in the fiscal 2001 year end appropriation order to
balance all city enterprise accounts for fiscal 2001.
