by Police and School officials that would not include any financial penalties
and would mandate community service and education programs, in an effort to
work to discourage minors from using tobacco.
23. Request Commissioner of Public Health to notify by mail the more
than 200 licensed sellers of tobacco in the City of their more rigorous policy
concerning the sale of tobacco to minors.
24. Request Commissioner of Public Health report to City Council concerning
the new mercury thermometer swap program.
25. Request Commissioner of Public Health report to City Council
concerning the new program whereby mercury products will be accepted at the City’s
existing drop-off sites and further, request that the government access channel
include information about this service and that the Department of Public Health
continue to work with the Regional Environmental Council on this topic.
