20.          Request City Manager and Mayor to send a letter to the Central Massachusetts Legislative Delegation explaining the need to secure additional funding for either additional staff and/or a location for an MCAD office in Worcester.

 

21.          Request City Manager to continue communication with MCAD through Shirley Wright of the Human Rights Commission concerning outreach and a plan for getting the word out relative to the presence of MCAD in Worcester and that an MCAD location in Worcester will be taking complaints.

 

22.          Request Administration to work with the Central Massachusetts Legislative Delegation to assist the MCAD in identifying a satellite office in a state agency as requested.  The office would be open for at least three days a week and would be staffed by an intake worker and one investigator and be open on or before June 30, 2000.

 

23.          Request Administration to look at trends and the numbers of complaints filed with the Worcester Housing Discrimination Project to see if this is a growing problem.

 

24.          Request Administration to have the Human Rights Commission work with the Worcester Housing Authority and the Worcester Discrimination Project to create an improved vehicle for communication.

 

25.          Request Administration to provide annual updates on the status of the Human Rights Commission.
