the timeline for delivery of furnishings and opening date for the first phase
of the Senior Center.
22. Request City Manager to contact St. Vincent/Tenet in regard to
their providing transportation between their Worcester Medical Center and the
Senior Center on Vernon Hill via City Hall and, if providing transportation via
City Hall is not planned, that they explain their reasons why.

between the three sites that includes specific proximity of recommended site to

story and cost of doing that. 4) Cost
of putting athletic fields on current site so the building could be located on
south side. 5.) Cost of retrofitting
current North High. 6) Provisions in

putting new structure on existing site and what that does to operation of the

the Zoning Board of Appeals with a view towards establishing threshold fees
according to the size and scope of the requested appeal and possibly waiving
fees through either an administrative appeal process or by authorizing the Board

whether tagging the deeds of all parcels of property within the City’s two
designated historical districts so that new owners are aware of this special
designation is an allowable recording, and to embark on such an effort and

Street Fire Station.

firefighters who are eligible to retire at the maximum 80%, 75% and 70%,

of trees at 32 and 34 Richards St. and further, provide City Council with an
estimated time for removal of said trees and their stumps.
54. Request Administration, in cooperation with the private sector
and the State and Federal Governments, explore ways to accomplish improved exterior
lighting of public and private buildings of architectural interest in downtown
Worcester (e.g. City Hall, Court Facilities, Aud, Union Station, Fleet Tower,
Churches, Mechanic’s Hall, etc.) so as to make downtown more visually
appealing. Such cooperation may include
but not necessarily be limited to investigating the aggregate purchase of
electrical power in order to mitigate the cost of such an illumination program
and facilitating the design, purchase and installation of efficient lighting
systems as incentivized by certain electrical power supply or delivery

55. Request City Administration investigate a “set aside” or
percentage of affordable housing units program when developers build market
rate housing such as Boston has.
Further, our Inclusionary Zoning and Density Bonuses, Article VII in our
Zoning Ordinances does provide for this.

Commissioner Matt Amorello concerning the request for state funds for a signal
light on Route 12 (Hope Ave. and Webster St. intersection) since this is a
